We are looking for a creative, energetic, and patient Pre-School Teacher to join the team at Niskayuna Community Day Care Center in Schenectady, NY, US. The Pre-School Teacher will be responsible for teaching Early Childhood Education (ECE) curriculum to children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. The Teacher will create engaging lesson plans and activities designed to meet the developmental, social-emotional, and cognitive needs of each individual child. The Teacher will follow classroom strategies to foster a learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions. Responsibilities

  • Prepare lesson plans and activities that are age-appropriate and tailored to the needs of the students
  • Organize and manage classroom activity and ensure students are engaged and supervised at all times
  • Maintain records of student progress and assessments
  • Work closely with families and collaborate with colleagues to provide student support
  • Actively participate in professional learning opportunities to stay up to date with best practices in preschool teaching

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a licensed Childcare facility
  • Valid credential recognized by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) specific to the preschool developmental period
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required

Compensation
$18 - $20 hourly
