Responsibilities

  • We love the work we do, but being a trial lawyer is challenging and demanding. This is a fast-paced job and will require solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • You will report directly to the firm owner. If you are hired, you will work with a team of awesome people who work hard to get the job done right the first time and take pride in the work we do
  • Finally, we are trial lawyers. You should be committed to investing time to read about and learn how to keep becoming the best trial lawyer you can. There are always new techniques and strategies available to the ambitious, curious, and persistent trial lawyer. We will provide mentorship and training because we want you to develop and hone these skills in addition to the actual case work

You need to be comfortable doing this stuff:

  • Investigate personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with our staff, clients, opposing counsel, experts, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and lien holders
  • Consistently document case status in the firm's case management system
  • Research case law, statutes, rules, insurance policies, and medical records
  • Draft or review/edit demand letters, complaints, motions, briefs, 30(b(6) notices, discovery responses

About Platte River Injury Law + Cowboy Country Criminal Defense

Bullies suck. Our law firm exists to do something about it.

In all we do, we are guided by three key characteristics or core values:

  • Compassion: We understand legal problems create life problems and care enough about our clients to tackle both.
  • Grit: We have the passion and perseverance to finish whatever we start.
  • Poise: We are good-humored and gracious—especially under pressure.

We believe our clients should be empowered to rise up against big insurance, corporations, and the government to protect their freedom, financial futures, physical well-being, and peace of mind. We believe there is a better way to help hurting people through the upfront relationships we build and the downstream results we fight for every day.

We crave honest communication. This ensures we help everyone on our team create the lives and careers they want while empowering our clients in the process.
