Are you a caring psychologist experienced in pediatric assessment, who is devoted to clinical quality and lifelong learning?

As an SF Mind Matters Clinician, you will partner with parents to help them understand their child, creating a roadmap that leads to family harmony, mental well-being, and academic success. You will provide comprehensive, compassionate, and cutting-edge care to every family, empowering parents to advocate for their child and supporting teens and young adults in advocating for themselves. You will collaborate with public and private schools to support each learner's unique needs.

Our ideal candidate is a Licensed Psychologist (PSY) or Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) in California with at least 2 years of supervised professional experience providing psychoeducational and/or neuropsychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and/or college students. At Mind Matters, we work as a team to improve our clinical skills through regular training, case consultations, and feedback. So, a desire to grow and learn is also essential.

  • Positions start part-time during the initial training period but can grow to full-time if desired.
  • Highly competitive pay ($150,000 FTE annual for 32 hours/week), with the flexibility to earn more depending on how many evaluations you choose to complete.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental assessments, including Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to youth ages 5+
  • Offer families referral services to outside therapists, clinics, and other professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and in-house case consultations
  • New Clinicians are expected to see at least two clients per month. Each evaluation requires 25-30 hours of clinical time
  • After the initial (six to nine month) training period, you choose how many evaluations you want to complete
  • Applicants must be available to test in person at least six days per month on a regular schedule
  • Interviews/feedback/report writing can be completed remotely, on a flexible schedule
  • Additional day-to-day tasks will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
  • This position requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills

  • At least two (2) years of experience providing psychoeducational, developmental and/or neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and/or young adults
  • Experience and training in assessing developmental, attention, learning and social-emotional challenges
  • Must be a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Educational Psychologist in California (or license eligible)
  • Must have a Doctoral degree in Clinical, School or Educational Psychology or related field from an APA Accredited Program, or a Masters degree in School Psychology with additional training in clinical psychology and assessment
  • Knowledge of current assessment measures and practices
  • Experience collaborating with elementary, middle, and/or high schools
  • Bilingual languages skills and/or expertise in assessing autism, giftedness, or providing IEEs are a plus

Compensation
$150,000 - $187,500 yearly
