Helping Hands Therapy Services, PLLC is a small, privately-owned company providing pediatric physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake. We currently provide Early Intervention services and outpatient services to children from birth to 21.

We are looking for a flexible, dynamic, and creative pediatric occupational therapist (OT) to join our team. We have several positions open, including Early Intervention (EI), outpatient, and community-based services. This position can also be split to work in multiple settings such as Early Intervention and our new outpatient clinic in Chesapeake, VAPatient diagnoses may include (not limited to) feeding difficulties, autism, sensory processing disorder, developmental dyspraxia, dysgraphia, and developmental delays.

We have Full time, Part-time, and flexible PRN positions available. We prefer at least 2 years of experience and early intervention experience; however, new graduates are welcome to apply! We offer a mentorship program for all therapists new to Early Intervention and to our new grads!

  • Evaluating and providing treatment for pediatric clients in an outpatient clinic and mobile outpatient (home based outpatient) setting
  • Participating in various group programs such as motor skills, social skills, and handwriting groups, both in the clinic and in non-traditional therapy settings (community, daycares, private schools)
  • Treating pediatric clients in the 0-3 setting in the home or community who are part of our Early Intervention Program
  • Participating in an interdisciplinary team to complete assessments for children in need of early intervention services
  • Complete mentorship and training with a seasoned therapist to ensure competency in early intervention setting
  • Evaluating sensory processing skills and developing sensory strategies as part of a team in collaboration with other disciplines, family, or school to assist in improving Child’s overall performance
  • Oral Motor/Feeding therapy is also provided at our clinic. Additional training, continuing education, and mentorship will be provided in this area if needed


  • Previous pediatric experience is preferred but not required
  • Occupational Therapy licensing in Virginia is necessary
  • Valid Driver's license
