Property & Accounting Management Company located in Planation, Florida looking for a full-time experienced payroll/accounting specialist to become the newest member of our accounting team!

In this roll, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing all payroll-related tasks. Responsibilities will include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, maintaining accurate payroll records, and assist our accounts receivable team.

To be successful in this position, you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Previous experience in accounts receivable and or accounts payable would be a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Collecting timesheet data and payroll information
  • Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs
  • Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  • Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits
  • Handling direct deposit requests and data
  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
  • Preparing and distributing income statements
  • Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and commission
  • Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns
  • Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations
  • Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes
  • Assist other employees with new hire setup and miscellaneous deductions
  • Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management
  • Ensure proper use and protection of information assets by complying with the organization's information privacy and security policies to protect assets from unauthorized access and by reporting any security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as employee confidentiality and company policies
  • Performs additional tasks as required

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A degree or certification in accounting, finance, business, or a related field may be preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
  • Knowledge of tax and wage laws
  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Great research and analysis skills
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Reliable transportation
  • Bilingual is a plus!

Compensation
$17 - $20 hourly
