Our small but mighty team is in need of a full-time Assistant/Partner to our Loan Officer Team who can assist in taking our Reverse Mortgage business to the next level! You’ll work with the loan officer to process the loan and help structure loans for senior clients and get them mortgage-ready. The loan officer will go out into the field to identify new business leads and pass the torch to you, so you can focus on reviewing loan documentation and work with the team to ensure a smooth close.  We are willing to train so first you will learn how to take an application and follow the process through to closing.

This is a remote position and must work in the Pacific Time zone.

Responsibilities

  • Look over all loan package paperwork to check for inconsistencies, omissions, and inaccurate income calculations and then report any errors to the loan originator
  • Take a loan application (different than a URLA)
  • Coordinate loan application completions, collect all necessary documents (including credit reports), utilize lender and origination platforms, send options to borrowers, and get the file ready for processing
  • Process files and coordinate with the lender on specific needed items
  • Contact with the loan officer, referral partners, and clients so they have a resource throughout the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process, and arrange meetings to ensure any follow-up actions get taken
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business
  • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions and timely response offering superior customer service

Qualifications

  • Must reside in Pacific or Mountain Time zone (work Pacific Time zone)
  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant to a Loan Officer and working within a team
  • Capable of analyzing credit, income, and asset documents to structure a file
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Current NMLS license or must be willing to get licensed within 90 days
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan products and mortgage documentation, processes, and procedures. Willing to learn
  • Be delightful and patient with clients
  • Be willing to help clients that are not technically savvy

Compensation
$29 - $32 hourly
