We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role in our legal team. You'll draft, prepare, and serve various pleadings, conduct legal research in preparation for hearings, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible.   • Manage all open probate and guardianship cases
  • File/upload court documents using various online
  • Send, receive, save and track electronic service documents
  • Process Federal EIN Applications
  • Organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic storage system
  • Update client files in management software
  • Prepare drafts of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, orders and notices
  • Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other professionals and unrepresented individuals
  • Coordinate and schedule hearings, trials, mediation and appointments
  • Investigate and compile facts, research, and analyze applicable law
  • Manage client billing, track expenses and time allotted to each task
  • Verify court docket for updates on cases, filings, clerk reports, and court orders
  • Calculate calendar deadlines and reminders
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
  • Talented communicator and writer

  • Experience using analytical software, database software, desktop publishing, and document management software
  • Knowledge of guardianship and probate statutes, rules, terminology, court procedures, administrative orders and local rules
