On a day-to-day basis, you will act as a liaison among all related parties including attorneys, clients, court, court clerks, and any other case-relevant party. You will be responsible for accruing both billable and non-billable hours. Broadly, you will be tasked with meeting with clients, organizing schedules, managing case and firm deadlines, summarizing cases, and preparing reports for our attorneys. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and investigating case-related factual issues, compiling all relevant case information, and crafting legal arguments.

This job will require you to organize, draft, and manage case documents including coordinating the collection, production, and review of all case-related materials, as well as responding to case-related requests both our firm's completed and ongoing cases.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • The preparation and filing of affidavits, appeals, briefs, contracts, production of exhibits, legal correspondence pleadings, real estate closing statements, wills, witness binders, and any other legal or court-related documentation.
  • This job will require you to have the ability to effectively keep and track changes in the legal framework and adapt timely to these changes.
  • As a paralegal working for our firm, you will assist our attorneys in their cases by coordinating with clients, obtaining case-relevant information, preparing legal documents, and helping with other legal tasks.

Qualifications

  • Organization, time management, excellent communication, and effective decision-making are required skills for this job.
  • Highly skilled in legal writing, documenting, researching, and composing legal documents. We are looking for a paralegal that is well-versed in legal terminologies, laws, court jurisdictions, and judicial decisions.
  • 3-5 years of previous paralegal experience
  • Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (a bachelor’s degree is preferred.)
  • Strong research skills and an investigative mind
  • Highly knowledgeable of legal database software

Compensation
$55,000 - $70,000 yearly DOE
