Job Summary

TSLF seeks a mid-level to senior-level paralegal to assist its attorneys in litigation of its employment law casework. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above-average attention to detail, concern for the accuracy of work, and a strong commitment to complete tasks on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, and have a strong sense of duty, integrity, and discipline. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The applicants for this position can expect clearly defined work, responsibilities, reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person’s competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable, professional working environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on, and complete tasks on hand. The position will generally be task-oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work, as well as proficient in their time management and prioritization skills.

Our Paralegals:

  • Can work remotely, but must be prepared to spend 3 days a week in the office.
  • Meet billing requirements;
  • The candidate will report directly to the firm’s Managing Paralegal.

Compensation: $50,000.00 Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidates are asked to submit salary requirements along with their materials.


The Ideal Candidate is:

  • Proactive, task-oriented, and a motivated, driven self-starter;
  • Able to respond positively to pressure and manage several priorities;
  • Analytical, disciplined, accountable, and a supportive team player;
  • Able to work collaboratively with their assigned legal team to achieve goals efficiently and consistently.


  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience;
  • Proficiency with filing and service requirements in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, including the Federal Courts in the aforementioned jurisdictions;
  • Experience in managing day-to-day discovery for assigned attorney(s), including but not limited to propounding and responding to discovery, meet and confer efforts, and drafting motions, memorandums, proposed orders, and supporting declarations;
  • Experience drafting oppositions and replies to oppositions, FLSA, FMLA, and Title VII Complaints;
  • Experience in deposition and trial document preparation and organization, including but not limited to motions in limine, voir dire, jury instructions, etc.;
  • Proficient in management of attorney caseload calendaring, daily administrative tasks, and general firm interaction;
  • Experience drafting demand letters
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

$50,000 Salary is commensurate with experience
