The Outside Sales Person is responsible for increasing market presence and building professional and client referral relationships to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets. The Outside Sales Person is responsible for building a pipeline of potential clients; tracks leads; conducts timely follow-up; and works to achieve key metrics and goals along with developing and managing key synergetic referral relationships by developing defined needs and matching those needs with deliverable benefits. The Outside Sales Person will work collaboratively with attorneys, the Owner, and the client service team and is responsible for managing and tracking marketing and business development efforts, outcomes, and opportunities.

The Outside Sales Person is a Non-Exempt position.

Outside Sales Person perform the majority of their work under the direction of the Owner. The Outside Sales Person's employment relationship with the Firm is managed by the Owner.

Outside Sales Persons are prohibited by the ABA’s rules of Professional Conduct, Florida, New York, And New Jersey Bar Association rules from practicing law. All work done by Outside Sales Persons must be in support of and under the direct supervision of the Owner. In dealing with clients and professional partners, Outside Sales Persons must be careful not to inadvertently slip into the unlawful practice of law. This would include answering client questions about what will happen in their case, or recommending that a client undertake a certain course of action during their case.

Outside Sales Persons are also prohibited by the ABA’s rules of Professional Conduct, Florida, New York, And New Jersey Bar Association rules from Direct Solicitation, Payment for Recommendations and other Statutory Prohibitions. Responsibilities

  • High collaboration with the Owner to create brand building increase the prospective client pipeline
  • Lead the adaptation of marketing programs for their office location and audiences while staying true to the brand
  • Work closely with community relations, operations, client care teams to analyze key business drivers and develop action plans to optimize opportunities to drive the business
  • Gather and leverage marketing hindsight best practices to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Owner on upcoming strategies and growth goals
  • Facilitate marketing onboarding program to ensure staff understanding of the way we work
  • Manage specific synergy partner relationships yet thinks holistically about how to support all synergy partners
  • Responsible for identifying, initiating contact, scheduling and attending meetings, developing, and nurturing top key synergetic professional referral relationships
  • Gives firm overview presentations as needed
  • Maintains regular contact with all advisors, managing the relationship between the professional, the professional’s staff and the law firm
  • Manages the scheduling of community presentations to ensure they are calendared appropriately, details are complete, and executed fully
  • Coordinates and schedules all meetings between firm staff and professionals, including preparation of materials necessary for the meetings and ensures that all commitments made by the firm representative are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Responsible for meeting established firm growth goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Conducts analysis of what is working and generates results and makes recommendations for improvement

Qualifications

  • The Outside Sales Person should have a bachelor’s degree with a successful track record of increasing organizational revenue and achievement of established goals or metrics
  • Experience with developing long-term, meaningful relationships and must have a positive “Can Do” attitude, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills along with presentation skills required
  • The Outside Sales Person must have a professional presence with ability to represent the firm in a positive manner at all times, as well as possess ability to work well in a team environment, including with team members at other locations and must be organized, detail-oriented, fast thinking and fast acting
  • The Outside Sales Person should exhibit excellent empathy, listening and client service abilities
