We are seeking an experienced therapist to work with children, adolescents, and their parents in our growing group practice located in Kingwood, Texas. Responsibilities include assessing children and adolescents, along with their parent or guardian, formulating treatment plans, and conducting appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve established goals. Applicants must be a licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LPC-A) with at least 1-3 years of experience providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families. Responsibilities
  • Engage in planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of patients in compliance with facility and license requirements
  • Deliver mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children by employing solution-focused counseling techniques
  • Attend and participate in weekly scheduled Clinical Team meetings and collaborate with community agencies
  • Test, interview, observe, and hold discussion sessions with individuals, significant others, and family members to conduct intake and needs assessments

  • Complete initial psychosocial assessment
  • Formulate treatment plans
  • Deliver play therapy and mental health services to children and adolescents by employing solution-focused counseling techniques
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation per agency standards and licensing requirements
  • Participate in collaboration with treatment team as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with prescribing physicians as appropriate
  • Complete necessary paperwork as requested
  • Make referrals to community resources as appropriate
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in a clinical setting counseling couples and families is required
  • Superb problem-solving and analytical skills are required, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree
  • State license that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or equivalent
  • Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Must hold an active license in the State of Texas as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMSW
  • Must have 2-3 years clinical experience
  • Must live a commutable distance to Kingwood, TX. Please confirm before applying

Compensation
$35 - $39 per session
