Our fast-growing family law firm located in Garner, North Carolina seeks an outstanding office manager to oversee the personnel side of our business, to ensure that we deliver an outstanding client experience from the first contact to the close of every file, and to assist the firm owner with daily and weekly bookkeeping.


  • Manage staff and office processes and workflows to ensure efficiency, timely meeting of deadlines, and consistent completion of tasks to firm standards
  • Help design, implement and document new processes and workflows as appropriate
  • Receive and analyze attorneys' and staff members' daily reports
  • Present summaries of daily reports to firm owner
  • Assist firm owner with bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including keeping transaction records updated, printing checks, and maintaining accurate trust account records and communication
  • Oversee levels of office supplies and order as needed
  • Assist staff with minor technical issues involving software, passwords, and other minor technology issues. (We have a fractional I.T. staff member who troubleshoots major technical issues.)

Rationale: As our firm grows, we need to add a middle layer of management to free the firm owner to focus more on business development and business management without sacrificing the quality of work that we are able to do for our clients. We are looking for a person who can ensure smooth office functioning and employee accountability as the firm owner focuses more of his attention on a big-picture legal and business role.


  • Small office management experience (5+ years)
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and QuickBooks Online required; ClioManage experience preferred
  • Four-year degree in any field preferred; we will consider candidates who possess successful law office management experience in lieu of a four-year degree
  • Familiarity with law office trust account procedures preferred
  • Valid North Carolina Notary or ability to obtain one required
  • Ability to pass a background check
