Brighter Day Law is seeking a skilled Office Assistant to join our growing team. Our mission is to compassionately help families resolve their disputes with personalized legal representation while keeping the best interest of the entire family at heart.

We are looking for an upbeat, compassionate individual to play an integral role in our administrative team. The ideal candidate can hit the ground running, demonstrating an apt ability to multi-task all while providing exceptional customer service. In this role, compassion and empathy are vitally important, and the ideal candidate embodies this in their communication style. When our clients hire us, they are going through an emotionally trying period in their lives, and our goal is to help them to make their lives better. 

Our Receptionist is responsible for the first impressions of the firm, building and facilitating relationships with potential clients and current clients, all while supporting our attorneys. The ideal fit for this role has exceptional customer service skills and takes initiative to set our team and our clients up for success. 

$16 - $19 per hour, dependent on experience. Compensation includes a base plus benefits, including firm covered medical & life insurance, 401K, paid time off in accordance with firm policies, and merit-based raises and bonuses.

The best applicant is someone who can hit the ground running:

• Providing exceptional service to clients when answering phones and performing receptionist duties
• Working with a high volume of information, while undertaking a variety of administrative support tasks and working diligently in a team-oriented environment
• Packaging and sending out new client gifts
• Assisting our Office Manager with daily operations of office, including but not limited to conducting daily opening and closing procedures, issuing hand-receipts for materials dropped off to the firm, ordering office supplies, troubleshooting staff tech issues, processing all incoming and outgoing mail, and greeting clients for scheduled meetings
• Completing miscellaneous administrative and legal tasks as needed

• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Three years demonstrable customer service experience
• You are a thoughtful, empathetic individual who values relationships above transactions
• You are a highly-proficient multi-tasker with an exceptional ability to prioritize
• Have a can-do attitude ready to jump in and take initiative on whatever project needs your attention most
• You are resilient and value growth. We all make mistakes, and we allow for that, but a penchant for accuracy and attention to detail are required to avoid mistakes that can cost our clients dearly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
• Proficiency in AdobePro preferred
• College degree in relevant field is preferred but not required
• Previous experience with law firm intake or in another relevant role preferred but not required
