Our office is expanding and we’re looking for an assistant to help us provide first-class patient care! You’ll be responsible for working directly with our healthcare staff to record patient histories, set up patients for the nurse practitioner, translate English and Spanish, and handle administrative filing and paperwork.
Our ideal candidate has some experience working in a medical office performing clinical tasks or in an administrative role and knows how to build an excellent rapport with people. You do not need to be certified as a medical assistant.

- Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
- Prepare exam rooms for patients ensuring the room is well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature for the patient and sterilize equipment
- Record patient vital signs including body temperature, respiration rate, blood pressure, and pulse and add the information to their chart
- Call Insurances to verify eligibility
- File charts and paperwork
- Translate Spanish/English between providers and patients
- 1 year of prior experience as in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment
- Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English and comfortable translating medical terminology
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am-2pm, Saturday 8:30am-2pm
OR
Monday-Friday 3pm-8pm, Saturday 8:30-2pm
