Non-Certified Dental Assistant
We’re looking for a full-time, friendly Dental Assistant to join our office. Your primary job will be to assist our dentists in serving our patients and to ensure they leave our practice with a smile. Additional responsibilities include preparing the work area and equipment for exams or procedures, as well as administrative duties such as obtaining dental records and scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate should have superb organizational skills and love talking to people.
- Assisting dentists and hygienists during procedures and examinations by handing instruments and ensuring that patients are comfortable
- Scheduling appointments and taking phone calls
- Ordering supplies and handling billing
- Sterilizing instruments
- Preparing patients and the work area before procedures
- Wielding the suction hose during procedures
- Prepping x-ray equipment and anesthetics
- Cleaning and laying out dental instruments
- Keeping and managing patient dental records
- Educating patients on oral health
- Superb multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Applicants should have basic data entry and computer skills
- Ability to provide superb patient care and customer service
- Must have an associate degree in an accredited dental assistant program
