We’re hiring a full-time loan partner, loan officer assistant, that will act as the loan officer on file or will work alongside our loan officers to structure loans for clients and help get applicants their dream home. While our loan officer is out in the field driving in more loan business to fill the pipeline, you’ll be analyzing customer credit, reviewing income, assessing documents, presenting rates, and closing costs to borrowers to ensure an efficient and successful close.

Responsibilities

  • Structuring the loan, Run AUS, Selling the interest rate, and loan costs
  • Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate the collection of documentation, including credit reports, and send a closing cost worksheet to borrow. Complete the processing of the loan from Lead to Closing
  • Look over all loan package paperwork to check for inconsistencies, omissions, and inaccurate income calculations, and then report any errors to the loan originator/ team lead
  • Coordinate with all parties to clear loan conditions after loan approval
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business
  • Coordinate discussions between the loan officer, referral partners, and clients so they have a clear primary contact throughout the “lead to closing” phase of the loan process, and arrange meetings to ensure any follow-up actions get completed
  • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions and provide quotes as needed to offer superior customer service
  •  Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of previous experience fulfilling the roles of an LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, and/or Underwriter, 5+ years preferred
  • Must be proficient in Spanish
  • Current NMLS license or must be willing to get licensed within 90 days
  • Must have a current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation
  • Working knowledge of automated underwriting systems such as DU and LP
  • The ability to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as an understanding of general ways to structure a loan
  • Must possess broker experience using loan origination software like Calyx Point
  • Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills

Compensation
$45,000 - $75,000 yearly
