Our team is in need of a full-time Loan Partner (LP) who can take our business to the next level! You’ll work with the Loan Officer (LO) to structure loans for our clients and get them mortgage ready. The LO will go out into the field to identify new business leads and pass the torch to you, so you can focus on reviewing income, customer credit, and documentation to assure a successful close. This position could also be known as an “internal loan officer” in a traditional mortgage business.

Part of the LP’s role is to make sure that loan applications are free of mistakes and include all the essential information needed to perform a thorough review of the loan file. Act as a liaison between the Loan Officer, the client, and the Processor, double-checking lending guidelines and all essential conditions related to each loan.

It is imperative that this person be detail-oriented, able to time block, clearly communicate missing or incorrect items in a file and work well with not only our team, but also corporate employees (underwriting, closing, etc.), clients and business partners, such as: realtors, insurance agents and title agents/processors.

Responsibilities
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business
  • Coordinate loan application completions, collect all necessary documents (including credit reports), run DU/LP/AUS, send a closing cost worksheet to borrowers, and get the file ready for processing
  • Serve as the primary contact during the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
  • Respond to all in-house and customer inquiries regarding transactions and provide quotes when needed to offer exceptional customer service
Qualifications
  • Current NMLS license or must be willing to get licensed within 90 days
  • Capable of analyzing credit reports, income, and asset documents, and can structure a loan properly in a variety of ways
  • At least 2 years of previous experience fulfilling the roles of an LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer and/or Underwriter, 5+ years preferred
  • Extensive experience with automated underwriting systems such LP and DU
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage processes, procedures, and documentation
Compensation
$60,000 - $96,000 yearly
