We're hiring a mortgage loan officer assistant who will work directly with and support our loan origination staff. You’ll preapprove clients, schedule appointments for the mortgage team, manage loan files from start to finish, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed.   • Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, branch manager, and assigned loan originator and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Answer questions about transactions for clients and company employees to help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide administrative support such as screening and making calls, booking appointments, etc.

  • Communicate professionally with clients over the phone, in person, and over email
  • Complete loan applications over the phone or in person (as necessary)
  • Educate clients on the mortgage process and applicable loan products
  • Prequalify borrowers by calculating income and reviewing asset documentation (credit report, tax returns, etc.)
  • Draft purchase pre-approval letters for clients submitting contracts
  • Communicate with clients, realtors, title companies, and colleagues to update progress and solve problems
  • Attend client appreciation events and support various prospecting activities
  • Maintain referral partner information and provide insight to grow and improve tracking systems
  • Willing to go the extra mile to get a task or goal accomplished

  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comprehension of basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc.
  • 2-3 years of professional office environment and administration or mortgage experience preferred
  • NMLS license or training is not required, but is desired
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred

  • 3+ years of professional mortgage experience required
  • A minimum of associate's degree is desired

$50,000 - $55,000 yearly
