We are looking for a Mold Remediation Technician responsible for assessing and removing contaminants caused by water damage in a residential or commercial building. As a Remediation Technician, your responsibilities begin with determining all microbial growth-related issues and end with resolving those issues.
- Provides safety for workers and occupants during the mold remediation process
- Develops a mold remediation plan and timeline for completion
- Installs contamination barriers using plastic and solid materials, and ensures that all decontamination equipment has been installed prior to commencing work
- Controls the contaminant at its source
- Physically removes the contamination
- Takes effort to correct any and all moisture problems to prevent recontamination
- Maintains and provides all required documentation
- Ensures that all labor associated with the project complies with the company safety plan, and correctly uses their Personal Protection Equipment
- Ensures that all labor personnel use Personal Protection Equipment the whole time they are working in the hazardous area
- Follows all industry-approved guidelines in the remediation process for mold contamination
- The candidate must have a good driving record and must pass a background check
- Must have a Valid / Clean FL driver’s license
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects
- High school diploma / GED
