Licensed Mental Health Professional

Our counseling clinic, which is located in a historic building in the heart of Nyack, NY, is looking for a caring mental health therapist. Must have at least one year of experience post-master's degree and be able to travel to our Nyack, NY office. We provide specialized services to children and adolescents. Must be dedicated to providing the best possible therapeutic service to our patients and have the passion and desire needed to work with children and families!

You'll be in charge of doing diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing counseling services on a regular basis, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience treating mental health patients, specifically children and families, and a current LMSW (licensed master social worker) license or its equivalents, such as LCSW, LCAT, LPC, LMFT, and LMHC.

Full-time and part-time w2 opportunities are available in a hybrid setting consisting of in-person and virtual services. • Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives

• Provide counseling via Zoom to children and families struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns
• Collaborate with parents and other providers to ensure the child is making progress toward their goals
• Document progress within EHR
• Attend regular training and continuing education as needed

• 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required
• State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or similar mental health equivalent
• At least one year of post-master experience providing therapy to children or adolescents. Strongly prefer Clinical Psychotherapy experience with children and adolescents
• Licensed to work in New York
• Familiarity with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and similar modalities
• A desire to participate in continuing education training to learn and use new therapeutic strategies and modalities
