The clinical therapist will provide clients individual, family, and/or group therapy to clients of Turning Stone Counseling. Clinical therapy services include treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. We are currently looking for therapists who work with children and families as well as first responders, who are social justice warriors, and ready to be a part of a growing dynamic, fun, and collaborative team. 

This leadership position will include a certain amount of weekly hours dedicated to the clinical supervision of LGPC's and collaboration with our LCSW-C Clinical supervisor in the oversight of provisionally licensed clinicians.

  • Perform on-site|telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Turning Stone Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with practice policies.  
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Turning Stone Counseling.
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Turning Stone Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.  
  • Communicate with a client's treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contact notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Turning Stone Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the clients within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep clients files accurate and up to date.
  • Follow up with the client regarding any outstanding balances as needed.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Turning Stone Counseling.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Turning Stone Counseling. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
  • Other duties may be assigned. Align with Turning Stone Counseling's mission, vision, and values.
  • Must be punctual in reporting to work.
  • Full Time -30-35 AND Part Time-18-22


  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and care.
  • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Work towards developing a niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).
