Summus Healthcare is adding a Medical Billing Specialist to our team in Denton, TX. This role supports our primary care and specialty practices' revenue operations by assisting with claims, collections, referrals, and more.

• Verify benefits
• Perform data entry into EMR systems, spreadsheets, and other websites and portals
• Billing entry and submission
• Explain insurance benefits and patient financial obligation
• Manage insurance and billing related phone calls
• Manage authorizations and referrals for visits and procedures
• Work AR, appeals, and denials on an ongoing basis

• 1-2 years of medical billing and insurance-related experience
• Computer literacy and experience with Excel and EMRs
