We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director who knows how to create simple, direct content marketing that works. The Marketing Director is the go-to person for all marketing needs of the office and each real estate agent. Our ideal candidate is a direct and efficient communicator. You meet deadlines not only because you're supposed to but because you understand that you are the lifeline for these agents and their business.

The right fit for this job:

With an ear for language and an eye for design, you know it’s simply not enough to tell the world that you’re the best. You have to show it. We want an experienced marketing coordinator who knows how to build campaigns—print, digital, and email (and has a proven history of doing so). Your attention to detail must be impeccable, but you must also have a creative edge that sets you apart from the competition. 

Critical skills: 

Our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the latest design tools offered, and a healthy obsession with current trends in SEO. In other words, you understand that just because you build it doesn’t mean they will come. You will read into analytics (FB ads, Google analytics, etc.) to determine whether we need to pivot our marketing and advertising strategy or focus our attention on what’s working. 

As a social media expert, you know how to create a social media firestorm from initial design to final execution. You know a good value when you see it and you know how to negotiate price. You have an ability to pinpoint what makes a property unique and know how to emphasize the quality details that set it apart from competitors. You’ll demonstrate creativity within constraints and have an ability to produce a range of marketing materials on the fly (often under tight deadlines during our busy season).

Location/commute: San Francisco, CA 

Type of employment/hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and occasional flexibility on evenings and weekends required

Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing and marketing the brand
  • Create, design and deliver both digital and print marketing collateral
  • Support all agents with all their marketing needs big and small; manage the assistant graphic designer and all ongoing projects
  • Consult and develop custom marketing materials in-line with the brand to help grow the agents’ businesses; provide creative and strategic marketing recommendations
  • Develop and implement improved and standardized agent marketing policies and processes
  • Develop and monitor email and print campaigns; report marketing effort results; recognize and evolve with trends and results
  • Support the leadership team by relaying real estate market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information
  • Monitor marketing budgets by comparing and analyzing marketing projects’ results with plans and forecasts
  • Manage the brokerage’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, etc.)
  • Assist in coordinating office events; order promotional items and publicize events accordingly

Qualifications

Required experience and knowledge: 

  • 2+ years of marketing experience and 2+ years of graphic design experience is a must
  • Thick-skinned; able to work under pressure with strict deadlines
  • Positive attitude when working with colleagues; solutions oriented
  • You love being the “go to person” for our marketing needs
  • A strong portfolio of design that demonstrates creativity, originality, and a strong knowledge of current marketing trends
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adept project manager; impeccable time management and prioritization skills
  • Skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills, ability to build and manage relationships
  • Able to communicate with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Meticulous attention to detail; excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Experience with client/account management, real estate marketing, and/or luxury brands a big plus
  • Management experience preferred
