We are looking for a shift supervisor for our architectural millwork manufacturing shop. The ideal candidate would have previous experience supervising a team and wood products manufacturing experience. However, for the right candidate, we will train for this position. The person will supervise a small team of about 7-10 employees as well as interact with others on the team. Those employees will be machine operators and entry-level helpers at various machine centers. This person will work with other shift supervisors to manage workflow and fulfill orders in a fast-paced environment.

• Promote safety, quality and productivity, in that order, to team members
• Supervise a team of 7-10 employees
• Provide training for new employees
• Work with team members to improve quality
• Ensure that production reporting and work orders are completed accurately and timely
• Work as a team with other supervisors and other teams to complete projects on time
• Work with other team members to improve processes and develop new products
• Use continuous improvement tools to grow the business

• Previous demonstrated successful employee supervision experience preferred
• Wood products manufacturing experience, especially as it relates to high end architectural projects, preferred
• Woodworking experience preferred
• Previous project management experience
• Lean manufacturing experience a plus
• Statistical analysis skills a plus
• Effective communication skills required
• Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products
