Managing Broker (COO) in Pagosa Springs Colorado

You will help create training materials to develop high-producing agents and oversee operations and contract management to ensure company success. You will be a part of the team that hires and trains successful associate brokers. The ideal candidate is a real estate professional who is an excellent communicator, who understands the complexities of real estate sales, has an ability to coach, and has a desire to be a part of a growing team that is focused on a whole healthy person, not just the business of real estate. Compensation is $75,000 - $110, 000 starting pay. Growth potential based on revenue increase.


  • Manage all aspects of the brokerage including the company’s MLS listings and overseeing all real estate transactions the agents are involved in
  • Coach agents on best strategies of negotiations and transaction expertise following our methods for excellent guides
  • Improve and develop training processes, content, and an accountability structure to ensure that the culture and brand of Sherpa remains strong throughout the agent ranks
  • Cooperate with the leadership team on a retention strategy to ensure we are supporting all of our agents to their highest potential and desires
  • Build up our brokerage by finding and hiring new associate brokers that will improve and meld with our team
  • Ensure the brokerage and agents are adhering to all company policies and procedures and abiding by all state and national Fair Housing and real-estate law
  • Manage and coach our Transaction Coordinators and Listing Coordinators to help them perform to a high standard so as to support our agent teams
  • Guide our agents and admin staff in their goal-setting (including personal goals)
  • Hold regular guide meetings that are built around instruction, collaboration, and transparency


  • At least 5+ years of experience as a licensed, actively practicing agent at a real estate company
  • The management and leadership skills to successfully guide a team of high-performing real estate agents
  • Strong understanding of the real estate industry and all state and national Fair Housing and real-estate laws to ensure compliance
  • Applicants need a managing broker license, or the willingness to obtain one
