Responsibilities

  • Execute preventative maintenance schedule to keep equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
  • Diagnosing current and potential errors in the mechanical and electrical operation of machinery and repairing them efficiently and safely
  • Work with production staff to ensure machinery is operating properly
  • Use tools of all sizes, powered and non-powered, in a safe manner
  • Operation of large equipment, skid steer, and plow trucks when required

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Must be legally able to work in the United States and provide the proper identification as proof. High school or general education diploma (GED) plus course work in equipment maintenance at a trade school. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a maintenance technician, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience operating medium to large equipment required.
  • Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement. Considerable knowledge of safety practices and techniques in maintenance. Able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment with accuracy and speed. Knowledge and understanding of the equipment, tools, and materials used in maintenance activities and services. 
  • Communication: Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Has the ability to solicit, process, and integrate input from peers and executives. Demonstrates tact and diplomacy with suppliers and other employees.
  • Team Building: Displays an active desire to be a team player. Achieves cohesion and effective team spirit with peers. Encourages an environment characterized by open, honest working relations where differences are constructively addressed rather than ignored, suppressed, or denied.
  • Planning and Organizing: Ability to work within a plan, organize time, and direct work towards the matter which is most urgent.
  • Dependability: The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Compensation
$20 - $25 hourly
