The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional mortgage brokerage experience in a wholesale environment, has a talented mix of guideline knowledge, processing abilities, and sales skills, and will act as the "right arm" to our Loan Officer. They are inspired, ethical, driven, and possess exceptional customer relations skills. The ideal candidate must excel at working remotely and can manage their daily tasks and responsibilities with ease. Organization, prioritization, attention to detail, driven, communication and escalation are key to success in the role.  

This role will work directly with borrowers to provide a seamless and expeditious mortgage process along with white-glove customer service. This support will allow our Loan Officers to spend the majority of their days originating more loans into the pipeline. This position requires the knowledge to analyze customer credit, review income, asset documents, and structure a loan. Consistent and accurate applications are key to success in the role.  

The entire process is documented to facilitate smooth training and onboarding. This is basically unheard of in the wholesale mortgage world. Our team’s success with new hires starts on day one and we have worked diligently over the last year to document every step of our process. Technology prowess is required, as a remote team needs to have a good foundation to build upon. We use ActiveCampaign as our CRM, LendingPad for LOS, RingCentral for communications, Outlook products, Box Drive for document storage, and Floify for application and client document management. We have built industry-leading automation to support our team’s efforts, but nothing replaces personal phone calls and text messages. All candidates are required to complete a DISC profile, Ideal Team Player assessment, and a processor evaluation to be considered for the role. 

  • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator
  • Serve as the primary contact during the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, referral partners, and the loan officer and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items
  • Answer questions from customers or employees regarding transactions and give quotes when required to deliver excellent customer service
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and borrowers to retain existing clients and attract new business

  • Facilitate the completion of accurate loan applications
  • Gather and prepare all documents needed for underwriting requirements
  • Assist LO in structuring loan files based on specified parameters (running DU/LP, sending closing cost worksheets, etc)
  • Submit detailed and accurate application packages to processing
  • Current on mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV) procedures and documentation
  • Excellent internal communication with LO, Processor, and Operations team
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communications with the internal team, clients, and partners
  • Be a sponge for information/knowledge, always striving to be the best possible at your position
  • Be a leader, helping us improve our processes and procedures to always deliver a world-class experience to our clients and referral partners
  • Available to answer weekend phone calls once per month

  • Able to accurately analyze income, asset documents, and credit reports, and knows how to structure the information properly for a loan
  • Superb follow-up, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Must have current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation
  • Know how to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as general ways to structure a loan
  • Understanding of agency and government mortgage guidelines
  • Knowledge of DU and LP
  • NMLS licensed. If not licensed, must be willing and able to get licensed within 90 days
  • Minimum 3 years of mortgage experience to serve in a remote role.  Remote experience required
  • Current or previous experience fulfilling the roles of LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, and/or Underwriter
  • Excellent time management while working remotely from home
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have outstanding follow-up skills
  • Broker experience is ideal
