Our Mortgage Loan Officer will partner with the Groundwork team to deliver value and service to Groundwork’s existing customers and to develop new customer opportunities from within Groundwork’s business accounts in Kansas City, Missouri, consisting of market-leading private home builders.

Groundwork is investing in its sales team due to Groundwork’s consistent and sustained organic growth and expansion serving 500+ new home purchasers annually, not simply due to favorable current market conditions. This is a long-term, high-reward, growth opportunity to join a company named “Mortgage Company of the Year” for 2018, 2019 and 2020 by the Home Builders’ Association of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri. Groundwork’s new Loan Officer will have high compensation potential serving Groundwork’s customers and accounts without the need, stress or pressure of developing volatile, self-sourced business or independent customer referrals.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners such as realtors, builders, bank colleagues, and the community at large
  • Work closely with industry related professionals to gather and prepare all necessary information to complete underwriting requirements
  • Manage a large pipeline of loans to ensure your production meets our requirements
  • Interface with realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction while overseeing all customer interactions
  • Assist borrowers in selecting loan programs that best fit their financial goals and needs
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference is given to candidates with an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in any subject area.
  • Professional sales experience in any type of direct-to-consumer sales, not necessarily mortgage origination. Preference is given to candidates with consumer financial sales experience.
  • Desire to obtain Mortgage Loan Origination license, successfully. Groundwork has a proven record of sponsoring committed candidates in obtaining necessary licensing, quickly. Preference is given to candidates with an active Mortgage Loan Origination license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative approach and a desire to provide exceptional service.
  • Submit to a mandatory drug test and background check and hold a valid driver’s license
