Clinical Supervisor/Director (CA license required)

Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in a mental health setting as a Clinical Director and providing clinical supervision to clinicians. Operations experience is a plus.

The position includes managing the clinical department which includes supervisors and associates, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, and ensuring that services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.

We are searching for an experienced person to organize and manage our start-up mental health practice's clinical services. You will manage the company's procedures and guide its employees to ensure it is well-coordinated and productive. You will collaborate with the office manager, clinical supervisors, director, and other department heads to ensure that operations are running smoothly, and all goals are met.

The Clinical Supervisor /Director is responsible for overseeing our clincal department and working hand in hand with our Office Manager and Operations team to manage daily operations of our practice, as well as managing and supervising clinical staff. Some common job duties may include:

• Operations management: Provide leadership and direction to the operational and administrative functions of the organization and working hand in hand with the office manager and admin staff. Hire, train, and supervise staff members as needed to support the organization's operations. Oversee and manage the workflow of the office
• Policy & Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
• Systems & Development: Develop and implement systems and processes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement performance metrics and measurement systems to track progress toward organizational goals
• Supervising clinical staff: The clinical supervisor oversees six associates and supervises the clinical staff, providing support and guidance when needed, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and conducting performance evaluations. Provide clinical supervision to 6 associates
• Managing the budget: The clinical supervisor manages the budget for the group practice, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and that the practice is financially sustainable
• Ensuring compliance: The clinical supervisor ensures that all group practice services are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
• Providing training and education: Provides training and education to clinical staff, ensuring that they are up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in their field
• Collaborating with other departments: Collaborates with other departments and people within the organization, such as Director, Office Manager, Clinical Director, Supervisors, and Billing department to ensure that clinical services are aligned with the overall mission and goals of the organization
• Managing relationships: The clinical supervisor manages relationships with clinics, agencies, community organizations, and other healthcare providers, to ensure that clinical services are effective and meet the needs of the community

• Master's degree, fully licensed with a license in good standing or licensed psychologist in good standing
• At least 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the mental health field
• Insurance knowledge
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
• Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, fiscal reporting, and financial analysis
• Knowledge of regulatory and policy requirements related to mental health services
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
