A prominent plaintiff’s law firm based in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join their team. This position will work very closely with the Senior Partner on litigation matters. The ideal candidate must possess 7-10 years of litigation experience. Previous medical malpractice and personal injury experience Required. Candidates without this level of experience will not be considered.

  • Setting up case structure, organize case documents and calendar dates
  • Prepare and file legal documents including discovery requests/responses
  • Research expert witnesses and schedule depositions
  • Communicate with legal team members, clients, counsel, experts, and court
  • Subpoena medical and other records
  • Review documents/medical records and prepare detailed summaries/chronologies


  • Self-starter who can work with little supervision, be extremely organized, and very detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize incoming work to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor to problem-solve during busy times
  • Follow through with minimal direction and take initiative
  • Treat others with respect and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Knowledge of Trial pad and/or Trial works a plus
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and PDF conversion software. Excel and PowerPoint experience necessary
  • Knowledge of Local and State discovery rules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization skills and attention to detail

$70,000 - $80,000 yearly
