We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. Your primary job will be to aid attorneys in preparing legal documents. You’ll draft legal documents such as affidavits, and proofs of service, prepare template briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. The position also involves the electronic filing of documents with the courts and the electronic recording of documents with county recorders’ offices. Job seekers should have superb organizational skills and love talking to people. $50,000 to $80,000 annually depending on qualifications, plus benefits


  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, proofs of service, pleading and motion templates, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and declarations, under the supervision of a lawyer
  • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, court filings, recording documents with county recorders, conducting research, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our document management system organized so all documents are readily accessible
  • Scheduling and calendaring

  • Follow – and eventually draft – office procedures
  • Grow in the position through continued learning and revitalization of skillsets in related duties


  • Candidates must be qualified to work as a paralegal in California, i.e., qualified by an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program
  • 3 years of paralegal experience (real estate and bankruptcy experience a plus)
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • History of being deadline-driven and extremely organized
  • Process oriented
  • Extremely reliable
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; can work well with people possessing a variety of personalities
  • Display excellent written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills
  • Technologically savvy; knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs and filing systems with the ability to learn new programs quickly and troubleshoot common issues
