You’ll be responsible for helping our firm serve our clients, prepare legal documents, and build and maintain effective communication with the firm’s clients and others. Our clients matter to us. We are growing fast, and we need a Litigation Paralegal who can hit the ground running.

We need a Litigation Paralegal with experience in civil litigation. Some experience in probate and/or elder law is a BONUS! The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding. This is a full-time job, and you absolutely must be able to work *in the office* for 40 hours per week. During the first 30 days of employment, the pay will be $20.00/hour, with opportunities for an increase after that. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with clients and buildings relationships with them
  • Interacting with courts and administrative agencies regarding filings, hearings, motions, and other appearances
  • Scheduling internal case timelines to ensure that progress is being made
  • Researching laws and judicial decisions, about current as well as past cases
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, orders, client correspondence, and discovery
  • Responding to discovery requests

Compensation
$40,000 - $50,000 yearly
