Litigation Attorney
Established boutique employment law firm seeks an Associate Attorney licensed to practice law in Florida with civil litigation experience to handle employment cases from start to finish. The in-person position will work closely with the other attorneys in the office on cases. The firm represents employees and employers in wage, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment litigation matters.

Responsibilities
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Client intake interviews
- Wage and hour cases
- Leave and disability claims
- Discrimination/harassment/retaliation claims
- Retaliation claims
- Counseling employers
- Assisting employees
- Administrative investigations (EEOC, FCHR, MDCHR, DOL)
- Client meetings
- State and federal court appearances
- Conduct depositions and discovery
- Attend mediations/federal settlement conferences
- Arbitrations/trials
Qualifications
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
- Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required
- Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Strong knowledge of legal research on Westlaw is required
- Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)

$100,000+ at plan
