Clinical Supervisor & CA Therapist - needs to be licensed for 2+ years as an LMFT, LPCC or LCSW for our La Mesa Location

Have you been seeing clients in outpatient care but also wanting to be in leadership and helping support the next generation of therapists develop their skills? We are looking for a licensed therapist who can provide both direct care and supervision in our La Mesa location.

At Grow Through Life Counseling, our Clinical Supervisors work as both supervisors of associates and direct care capacities to ensure that the team is mentored. The duties of our clinical supervisor include providing weekly triadic or group supervision to associates. Our clinical supervisor team builds great, supportive relationships with each team member whether an associate or licensed team member. W2 position and salaried position!

  • Case consults as needed for our licensed staff team members - add to the chart notes 
  • Clinical Supervision (pre-licensed staff) - document as appropriate and sign off on associate hours
  • Review all letter and chart requests for liability and consult as needed
  • CPS or other confidentiality breaches for supporting staff
  • Review any safety concerns and provide support to the clinical team
  • Email: communicate with the team in a timely and effective way; respond to non-urgent items with 72 hours or sooner when possible (often) 
  • Text messages: available via Text from clinical staff for emergent matters and respond in a timely way (rarely)
  • Review and approve notes of new licensed staff for the first 90 days for licensed staff (pre-licensed sent to clinical supervisors) 
  • Ongoing training support for staff and ensuring office policies are implemented and followed
  • Hiring (varied hours per onboarding) (schedule with current onboarder/trainer) 
  • Provide care to a caseload of clients
  • Caseload varies based on total hours per week
  • Document appropriately for current caseload
  • Positive and supportive attitude
  • Attend all clinical supervisors meeting
  • Conduct weekly supervision for associates
  • Document case consults concurrently
  • Compliance with BBS regulations on trainings and CEU's required
  • Multicultural lens and awareness
  • Open to many theoretical approaches associates may want to use
  • Ability to support early career therapists and their needs

  • Counseling youth and loving this work: 2+ years (Required)
  • Passion for working with youth and early intervention
  • Understanding of child development and needs as various stages
  • Understanding of mental health disorders of childhood
  • Willing needs or providing support to parents as part of the care
  • Willingness to work with couples (preferred)
  • Experience with military populations (preferred) 
  • Ability to clinically supervise and/or desire when able to (preferred) 
  • Team player (required) 
  • Prior management experience of licensed clinicians
  • Ability to multi-task

$76,000 - $90,000 yearly
