Coral Heart Counseling, LLC

Coral Heart Counseling, a mental health private practice located in Chicago, IL, is looking for part-time and full-time licensed therapists (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT). Ideal candidates are able to provide remote therapy services along with 1-2 days/week of in-person therapy services.

Because we are looking for someone to start in the next month, your application will automatically be disqualified if you do not already have a Master's in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage, and Family Therapy, or similar; AND if you do not have an active license to practice in the State of Illinois.

We are striving to put together a diverse group of compassionate, trauma-focused, and social justice-oriented team of clinicians who can provide a sense of warmth and heartfelt care to advance the healing of BIPOC communities and historically marginalized populations. Along with many other benefits, work boundaries and the ability for the clinician to determine their own schedule are given so that a sense of self-care can guide the clinician’s work habits. Our goal is for each clinician to feel trusted, affirmed, energized, and empowered in a supportive environment. There is minimal administrative work so that you are able to concentrate on meeting with your clients, expanding your skillset, and reenergizing, as opposed to doing tasks that can be done by our administrator.

We provide:

  • Flexible work schedule so that you can work when you and your clients are most available.
  • Client referrals and placement so that you won’t have to worry about finding your own clientele.
  • Training Opportunities so that your clinical skills can continue to flourish.
  • Administrative support so that you can do what you went to school for.
  • Competitive compensation so that you can feel valued, energized, and motivated.
  • Benefit verification, billing, and follow-up on payments so that you won’t have to worry about the money.
  • Consultation, supervision, and clinical support so that you won’t burn out and feel so alone while doing this type of work.
  • Paid marketing via online directories (i.e. psychology today, therapy for black girls, etc.) so that your ideal client can find you.
  • Professional development assistance and CEUs so that you keep your license.
  • Opportunity to earn extra income through blogging.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy services remotely and at least 1-2 days per week in-person.
  • Assess and evaluate client circumstances, mental health, and well-being; provide necessary follow-up therapeutic care.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives.
  • Submit notes and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Respond to client emails and inquiries in a timely manner (at least within 24 hours on weekdays).

Qualifications

  • Licensed in the state of Illinois with an LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT or similar.
  • Lives in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs due to the hybrid nature of this position.
  • A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a similar field.
  • Ability to have at least 10 client sessions per week for part-time work and at least 25 client sessions per week for full-time work, remote and in-person.
  • An understanding of clinical diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
  • An understanding of trauma, systems, and social justice.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with BIPOC communities and people.
  • Self-discipline and ability to set own schedule and weekly goals/priorities, however, support to accomplish this is available.
  • Comfort with electronic records and the use of technology.
  • Compassion and respect for clients and colleagues.

Compensation
$45 - $60 hourly
