Canyon Creek Adult Family Home

This position is a full-time day shift; Wednesday 0600-1800. Along with this once weekly shift, there is an opportunity to pick up shifts for vacations, etc. This is a great opportunity for a new grad or a nurse with limited experience in sub-acute care, including trach and ventilator management. This is also an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse with or without ventilator experience. All new hires go through a thorough orientation period and are partnered with an experienced teammate. Shifts are staffed with one nurse and one nurse delegated CNA for six clients. We frequently have a third staff member for ancillary tasks and helping hands. On-call shifts are available.

About Canyon Creek Adult Family Home

Canyon Creek was established in 1999 by Darren Vierck RN (me!) We are a six-room care facility with an emphasis on the ventilator-dependent population. Our clients have a variety of complex medical diagnoses, including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, end-stage COPD, chronic respiratory failure, etc. With a caregiver-to-client ratio of 2-6, we have the luxury of time to focus on quality care. Not to say that it doesn't get busy, it does; but it's manageable. Anyone who has worked in an institutional setting will have an appreciation for this. We have a great team and work very hard to maintain a solid standing in the medical community, for over two decades.
