Responsibilities include providing individual and group mental health counseling, diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible.

Our ideal candidate holds a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license, is seeking clinical consultation, training, and collegial connection and is able to work until 8 pm three days a week and until 6 pm on the other days. If this sounds like a rewarding opportunity, please apply now!

• Assess patients’ mental condition based on a review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
• Recommend community services or specialists for patients and family members in need
• Evaluate patients’ circumstances on a regular basis and provide necessary follow-up care
• Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient
• Develop and implement one or more counseling groups
• Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services
• Complete continuing education courses to maintain Illinois state license certification and stay up-to-date on the latest practices
• Continue to refine clinical skills and the quality of counseling provided as a whole and on a case-by-case basis
• Develop as well as seek opportunities to inform the community of various mental health topics/issues

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed

• Master's Degree from a CACREP Accredited Counseling Program
• Illinois LPC or LCPC License or eligible to take the licensing exam within the next few months
• Possess self-knowledge
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
