The Director of Operations will be a critical position because this detail-oriented, proactive and organized leader will assist firm management with taking SLG to the next level of growth as the firm hires new attorneys and staff and expands its areas of

expertise in 2022. SLG is looking for a strong leader who is professional, personable, confident, and comfortable managing teams and organizations toward shared goals and strategies. There will be times where this position will be client facing so preparedness and professionalism is a must. You must employ critical thinking to make decisions that benefit the firm. Currently, the successful candidate will be working remotely because of the pandemic. There has been no date set when the lawyers and staff will be required to return to the office at One Arts Plaza, but the firm anticipates a hybrid working model going forward.


  • 401k Administrator
  • Payroll Administrator
  • On boarding/off boarding
  • Trains, supervises, and counsels staff regarding firm procedures and information systems
  • Conducts performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of non-attorney employees as needed and in
  • accordance with company policy
  • Participates in strategic planning process with management to identify and accomplish
  • short- and long-term organizational goals


  • Reviews prebills prior to attorney approval
  • Ensure compliance of billable hours requirement
  • Responsible for all Accounts Payables (paying vendors)
  • Bookkeeping oversight
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the office; prioritizes use of support staff and facilities
  • Manages the daily operations of information systems
  • Manages equipment, office services, and facilities
  • Manages various firm insurance policies
  • Manages various firm certifications
  • Run various reports in preparation of business decisions
  • Performs or facilitates and delegates accounting functions as needed. These may include billing, preparation of financial statements, management of reports, and collections
  • Consults with outside accountant for audits, preparation of tax returns, and the production of other reports as required by law


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • MBA or SHRM Certification Preferred

  • 10+ years law firm experience preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Sharepoint, Excel, and Teams

  • Knowledge and experience with Firm Central preferred but not required
