You will assist the attorney in production-related activities, including document drafting, e-filing documents, interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and judges, gathering and organizing documents for clients, and performing various administrative tasks.

In this position, you will:

  • Use your listening skills and empathy as you help clients through some of the most difficult life stages of aging and incapacity.
  • Prepare probate and guardianship pleadings using bar-approved forms. The little things matter and accuracy is key
  • Manage files using our internal policies and procedures. We are a system-based firm and don't do things haphazardly here
  • Perform data entry using Wealth Counsel or Lawgic software
  • Take initiative and be laser-focused on detail. Little mistakes matter here and you must be committed to detail


  • Excellent tech skills are required. We used cloud-based software, including Clio, GSuite, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office (or WordPerfect), Florida e-filing system, and WealthCounsel. If you aren't familiar with these specific programs, we will train you, but you must be committed to learning
  • You must be detail-oriented. Yes, I’ve already said that, but it bears repeating. Attention to detail is a critical component of this job. We don't want anyone being negatively impacted because we didn't do our job right
  • You must work efficiently. While much of our work is not time-sensitive, some of it is and we need some flexibility to achieve deadlines

The legal assistant position requires Florida law firm experience. If you do not have any relevant experience and decide to apply anyway, you must include a cover letter telling us what skills and experience you have that will make you excel in this position.

$45,000 - $65,000 yearly DOE
