FordHarrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced litigation secretary for its Tampa office.

Responsibilities

The legal secretary will support a team of attorneys to deliver quality legal services to clients. The secretary assists attorneys in all phases of the litigation discovery process; helping attorneys prepare for hearings, arbitrations, and trials. The legal secretary processes monthly expense reports, formats and proofreads legal documents, e-files, coordinates meetings, and oversees the conflict check and client intake process for new matters.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate must be able to type at least 65 WPM and have a minimum of four years of solid litigation experience
  • Experience with local, state, and federal law in the state of Florida is required.
  • Candidates must have intermediate to advance MS Office skills, possesses excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written)
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must maintain a positive “can-do” attitude with internal and external clients
