We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Organizing files
  • Review and check bank statements and verifications
  • Drafting letters and court documents
  • Drafting estate planning and Medicaid forms and reports
  • Performing tasks needed to drive the case to milestones and timely resolution.
  • Communicating with the client to obtain information/documents/records needed and Managing Client relationships
  • Assisting the legal team in preparing for client meetings
  • Attending and/or running client meetings with members of the legal team.
  • Case Status Updates

Qualifications

  • A Legal Assistant will have completed a course of study offered by a college or university, especially for Paralegals, and will possess a certification as a trained paralegal or an equivalent certification such as a benefits specialist or 2+ years of on-the-job experience.
  • A Legal Assistant should have experience in a law firm. Experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant is especially pertinent, and candidates with this background will be given preference.

Compensation
$35,000 - $45,000 yearly
