Bernheim Kelley Battista, LLC has an opening for a legal assistant with a minimum of 3 years of claimant's worker's compensation experience representing injured workers. Candidate must have experience working with physicians' offices and insurance adjusters, particularly building strong relationships to move through administrative processes quickly and effectively. The position will require overseeing a high volume of cases. Candidate must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

• Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements
• Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s caseload, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met
• Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines, billing, and providing reminders as necessary
• Update clients and outside counsel on case status as requested
• Create legal documents for attorney review
• Must be proactive and driven to close tasks and activities

• Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated
• Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed
• Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical
• Must be proficient with MS Office and legal case management systems
