We are a small, but rapidly growing Real Estate Law Firm that’s looking to add a Legal Assistant to our team. This newly created hybrid position will be responsible for helping us manage the day-to-day legal administrative needs within the firm’s
services to clients, as well as managing our billing cycle, tracking client expenses, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Our founding attorney is an entrepreneur who is passionate about protecting real estate investors and real estate professionals. We have set our sights on being the “go-to firm” for real estate law in San Diego, California. You must be a go-getter that takes pride in your work and someone who wants to be part of a professional team of highly adept, positive individuals!

While we are growing fast, we are still small enough to care about every team member and client. We need someone who is interested in being with us as we grow and is willing to wear multiple hats until the workload supports bringing on additional team members. If the following describes you, then YOU may be the Legal Assistant and Billing Administrator we are looking for:

  • Assist the legal production team with client services to improve workflow efficiency
  • Administer client billing cycle to issue invoices to clients and collect payment
  • Make sure all law firm expenses are paid on time
  • Make sure client expenses are allocated correctly and appear on invoices
  • Keep clients informed about invoices and expenses
  • Oversee collections efforts for the firm
  • Manage paper and electronic files
  • Perform basic administrative tasks – draft documents, copy, scan, file
  • Communicate with potential and existing clients in person, by phone, and by email
  • Open and close client files according to procedure
  • Calendar deadlines
  • Schedule appointments and meetings
  • Serve as a backup for other administrative team members when they need a hand or a day off
  • Maintain professionalism of the firm, and client confidentiality


These items are non-negotiable:

  • You must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with at least three days in our office located in Tierrasanta, San Diego.
  • You must have experience creating legal pleadings and with legal writing and drafting
  • You must be able to handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, scheduling, and basic administration in a law office
  • You must be a positive, high-energy team player who is results-oriented – No Drama!
  • You must be comfortable with Office 365 – Word, Excel PowerPoint – as well as Zoom and online cloud-based applications
  • You must be able to type at least 55 wpm
  • You must have exceptional phone etiquette

The legal services offered by So Cal Realty Law, APC, include real estate transactions, real estate litigation, landlord services, unlawful detainer (eviction), lease negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and a wide variety of other real estate-related services.

There will be training on the types of legal matters we handle, including litigation, transactions, how to use our billing system, calendaring system, and CRM system.
