We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging Zoom meetings, calendaring deadlines, e-filing in state and federal court, arranging for service of process, arranging telephonic court appearances, as well as all other administrative tasks. Responsibilities
  • Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals
  • Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents a needed
  • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly
  • Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster
  • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
  • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs
  • Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products

  • At least 3-5 years legal experience
  • Trial preparation a plus
  • UD experience a plus

Compensation
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00
