NOCO Basements
We are looking for an experienced tile installer and mentor to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate should be able to take a tile job from start to finish based on the client specifications provided. Our ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience and can manage a tile job from start to finish. This position requires the ability to prep areas and set tiles in various types of applications ranging from basic to complex.
Responsibilities
- Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
- Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes, and trowels
- Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
- Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
- Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
- Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms
- Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
- Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
Qualifications
- 10 Years of tile experience required
- Proficient in tile setting tools, techniques, and materials
- Strong physical condition and excellent hand dexterity
- Accurate measuring and math skills required
- Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
- Ability to read and follow plans/blueprints
- Knowledge of building code
- Ability to lift/carry heavy pieces of material or structures
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

- A high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation
$35 - $45 hourly
