As a Lead Fertilization Technician at HEROES Lawn Care, you will be responsible for lawn care services in your territory. A successful fertilizer tech will be able to spot concerns, find the solution, and maintain a healthy lawn for the customer. You will be required to work with different treatment plans on a number of different types of property. Fertilizer Technician ensures the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s lawn.

• Spot concerns, recommend solutions, and ensure the safe and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our customer’s lawns
• Work with General Manager to optimize production efficiency and ensure the highest level of customer service with an effective schedule and routes
• Production goals-works diligently with the Senior Tech in obtaining monthly production goals
• Identification of insects, weeds, and diseases as it relates to job function and implement appropriate control solutions
• Apply fertilizers, pest, disease, and weed controls to turf according to schedule and label instructions
• Maintain personal, equipment, and vehicular safety as it relates to job requirements
• Organize equipment and products in your assigned company vehicle
• Assist in generating sales to current and new customers through contact on the service route
• Measure lawns of potential customers to provide accurate cost estimation
• Support others with obtaining lawn care licensure by providing one-on-one coaching and instruction

• Minimum of two years (application seasons) of employment as a commercial applicator, may accept one year (application season) of employment with a commercial applicator plus equivalent education
• Ability to be highly functional in a team environment, as well as able to perform with minimum supervision and direction
• Clean driving record and pass internal insurance background check to drive a company vehicle
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to diagnose insect and disease issues in the field
• Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure
