Our busy law firm is growing and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent our clients well. Our cases are complex and interesting from a legal and factual point of view. We practice almost exclusively in King County, Washington (which still conducts hearings and other proceedings via videoconference). Must be admitted in Washington. - Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
- Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience representing family law clients in a law firm
- Have the drive to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
- Good bedside manner -- capacity for empathy and compassion with clients
- Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 3 years
- Must be an active member of the Washington Bar
- Able to work from home productively
- Must have strong technical skills and/or will to learn new skills, including Microsoft 365 and Clio
