Lawn Care Technician
(Applicator, Sprayer, Fertilizer)(Wappingers Falls)

We are seeking a seasoned Lawn Care Applicator to help us provide the following services to our customers:

• Fertilizing and Seeding
• Aerating and Winter Lawn Prep
• Weed, Tick Control
• Seeding for New Lawn Services
• Soil Analysis and Testing
• Insect Control and Grub Management
• Custom blending fertilization and lime application
• Lawn disease treatment

Necessary Skills

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in a results-oriented environment
• Willing to become certified to apply pesticides
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds (8-10) hours per day
• Able and willing to work in various weather conditions (8-10) hours per day

Typical Work Requirements:

• Mix pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides for application to trees, shrubs, lawns, or botanical crops. Prepare chemicals for work application.
• Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas.
• Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes to direct spray over designated areas.
• Treat greenery or surfaces with protective substances.
• Identify lawn or plant diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
• Inspect landscaping to determine treatment needs.
• Start motors and engage machinery, such as sprayer agitators or pumps, or portable spray equipment. Operate grounds maintenance equipment.
• Connect hoses and nozzles selected according to terrain, distribution pattern requirements, types of infestations, and velocities.
• Maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.

Company Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Able to Pass Drug Test
• Reliable Transportation to and from Work
• Professional Appearance
• Smart Phone with Available Data
• Must be able to Work Independently

Education:

• High school or equivalent

License:

• NYS drivers license
• Pesticide applicator license or willingness to shortly obtain a license
