As our Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every dish is cooked and presented following appropriate recipes, presentation standards, and with accuracy for the guest order. We need an experienced leader who is comfortable with a variety of cooking techniques and managing inventory. • Managing inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
• Hiring new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation
• Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
• Working with the Executive Chef to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
• Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
• Creating schedules for all kitchen staff
• Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
• Fill kitchen shifts on the schedule

• Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification

The Oasis Diner is an original 1954 diner that was relocated, refurbished and re-opened in 2014 and has been a Hendricks County icon for decades. We are a scratch kitchen and are known for our Tenderloin sandwich (consistently ranked in the Top 10 for Indiana Tenderloins), awesome burgers, serving breakfast all day, homemade desserts and hand crafted sodas.
