Our family-owned and operated restaurant is looking for a motivated and dedicated culinary leader who can provide our guests with fantastic dining experiences. We are looking for an experienced supervisor who is capable of overseeing the entire kitchen and ensuring food safety laws are followed and practiced, as well as being successful at implementing current and new recipes. Our next kitchen manager must be passionate, creative, and ready to join a dedicated crew of kitchen professionals. To be an effective director of our kitchen's operations, you must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and have a passion for teaching and motivating your team. Bilingual Spanish/English speakers will be highly valued in our applicant search as well as those who are ready to learn. In addition, a passion for food and the ability to inspire others to be innovative and enthusiastic kitchen professionals are also essential skills. To be considered for the position, you must have executive chef experience or extensive experience as a sous chef at a top-notch restaurant.   • Review and track team member performance objectives, as well as offer guidance and assistance to support and promote an efficient kitchen
  • Establish a collaborative environment for kitchen workers by educating recruits and hiring personnel that fit the corporate culture
  • Ensure that all food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, is well supervised, and confirm that the finished dishes are visually appealing
  • Provide a learning environment in the kitchen, showing the best food sanitation practices
  • Responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit
  • Control and manager you department costs, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price
  • Maintain employee schedule and payroll costs
  • Ability and desire to create your own specialty chef dishes to inspire your team members and delight our guests


  • Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and other team members
  • Must have at least 3 years of kitchen management or high-level sous chef experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speakers highly desired
  • Must be able to pass Texas Food Manager Certification
  • Outstanding management abilities, as well as experience leading, inspiring, and building a team
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate

In August 2020, the Ellen's concept expanded when we opened our Allen, TX location off of McDermott and South Central Expressway. We began in Dallas’ West End neighborhood in 2012 with the simple idea of serving breakfast all day, every day, and soon became a local favorite. After 10 successful years, we are continuing to expand throughout the DFW metroplex with upcoming locations set for Frisco, Fort Worth, East Dallas, and North Dallas. Our future looks bright!
